Caps, repairs & waterproofing
Keep the weather out.
Keep the chimney standing.
Water is a chimney’s worst enemy. Gorge rain, snow, and freeze-thaw cycles work into cracked crowns and open flues, and that’s when the real damage starts. We fix the small things before they become big ones.

What we fix
Licensed in Washington for masonry work, and careful on your roof.
Chimney caps
A cap keeps rain, birds, squirrels, and leaves out of the flue, and its mesh keeps sparks from landing on your roof — a big deal in fire season.
Crowns & masonry
Cracked crowns, loose bricks, and worn mortar joints let water in. We seal and repair them before freeze-thaw makes them worse.
Waterproofing
A breathable water repellent on the brick keeps moisture out while letting the chimney dry — so it lasts longer and doesn’t stain.

Repairs FAQ
Does my chimney need a cap?
Almost always, yes. A cap is one of the cheapest ways to protect a chimney: it keeps out rain, animals, and debris and stops sparks from leaving the flue.
How do I know if water is getting into my chimney?
Stains on the ceiling or wall near the chimney, white chalky residue on the brick, a damp or musty smell from the fireplace, or rust on the damper are all common signs.
Do you rebuild chimneys?
We handle caps, crowns, smaller masonry repairs, and waterproofing. If your chimney needs a full rebuild or a new liner, we’ll tell you honestly and point you in the right direction.
